Server Recovery Exercise
Independently test your ability to recover your servers from your backup
Many businesses assume that a successful backup will lead to a successful recovery; however this is not always the case.
Plan B’s Server Recovery Exercise is a managed service that fully tests your ability to recover your servers from your backup, and offers a 24/7 emergency recovery service.
The testing process provides you with known recovery timeframes as at the date of your test. The process includes a pre-test audit to ensure you are following best practice guidelines within your backup programme. Where issues are found, we provide recommendations on how your backup needs to be modified to ensure a successful future recovery.
Server Recovery Exercises can be done on separate equipment in isolation to your production environment or as a live Disaster Recovery test on your own equipment using a variety of supported backup products.
This service provides the assurance that your critical business services are recoverable and provides you with clarity on your actual recovery timeframes.
This service includes:
- Annual offsite recovery test to prove critical services can be recovered to an offsite location
- Recovery to independent hardware to prove the business can be recovered to disparate hardware if required
- Demonstration that data recovery can be done by independent engineers, removing the reliance on in-house IT staff in a crisis
