Plan B's Online Server Replication service continuously captures server changes as they occur and replicates those byte-level changes to a virtual replica server at Plan B.
In the event of a failure, this ensures minimised data loss (as an up to date replica of your systems and data is in our offsite data centre) and minimised recovery time (as rapid recovery is achieved by activating the replicated, offsite copy of your systems).
The Plan B Online Server Replication service is delivered using a proven replication toolset and can protect any combination of physical, virtual or cloud servers.

The Server Replication Process
- Replication of your servers is performed using software installed on each of the servers to be protected.
- The system continuously captures byte-level changes as they occur on your servers, transferring these to the target server at Plan B to ensure the replicated target server is up to date as the source server changes.
- Full-server protection for each server includes the system state, operating system and applications.
- Improved performance is achieved by compressing the protected data during replication.
- Write-order consistency checking is used to ensure the integrity of replicated data.
- Data is transferred securely using AES256 encryption (optional).
- Multiple rollback points are stored on the target server to allow restore to a previous point in time.
