ICT Equipment on Permanent Standby

Shared Standby Equipment

Our Standby Equipment service includes a range of infrastructure items on permanent standby that can be deployed quickly in an emergency and accessed from one of our sites or delivered to a location of your choice.

Shared Standby Equipment is available to all subscribers of this service, based on each customer’s selected product categories. Although there is plenty of equipment available in each category, it is allocated on a first come first served basis.

As new clients subscribe to the service, new equipment is purchased to supplement the equipment available. There is also an annual review and replacement of equipment to ensure that what we have is current and fit for purpose.

This service includes:

  • Huge inventory of equipment, grouped by category, including proprietary systems, tape-drives, disks and server hardware.
  • Access to high value equipment at a fraction of the replacement cost.
  • Current enterprise model equipment servers/SAN's.

Dedicated Equipment

Dedicated Standby Equipment is reserved specifically for individual clients and is always available for those clients to utilise when required. This gives clients with specific hardware requirements, or no appetite for risk, the ability to ensure availability of standby equipment that meets their exact needs.

This service includes:

  • Equipment that is dormant until the dedicated client requires it.
  • Ability to specify equipment to exact requirements.
  • Access to high value equipment with no capital outlay.
The Standby Equipment service is in a permanent state of readiness, and access to equipment can be activated at any time.
